Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between depression, peer relationship and ego-resilience in adolescents. In particular, this study aimed to elucidate the role of ego-resilience between two variables. The analysis was conducted using the 6th year data of the Korean Youth Panel Survey and mainly used multiple regression analysis and used macro process developed by Hayes to test the interaction effect. The results were as follows. First, depression of adolescents had a negative effect on peer-relationship. Second, adolescents' ego-resilience had a positive effect on their friendship. Third, the ego-resilience had a moderating effect on the depression of adolescents. In particular, the interaction effect was found to be a buffering effect. Based on these findings, it was suggested to reduce depression of adolescents and to increase ego-resilience and self-esteem.
